Hola y bienvenidos a mi página! I grew up speaking mostly English in the house while enjoying the -ismos and cuisine of my Mexican heritage. Through a combination of classes, telenovelas and music, I became more accustomed to the sounds and rhythms of the Hispanic/Latino culture.

 

My sophomore year of college, I co-founded a bilingual section at our university's student newspaper, making it the only one in the top 20 nationally with a Spanish/English section.

 

Today my approach in tutoring Spanish is much the same. How many times have you heard "I took Spanish in high school but can't remember much more than..."? My approach seeks to prevent that and help what you learn to be practical not only in the classroom, but in the real world as well.
